Community Education is an educational philosophy that stresses citizen involvement in the identification of community needs and interests. It is an idea based on the concept of lifelong learning. Community Education creates an environment that views education as anything that enhances life experience.
Thus, Adult with Disabilities Programs, Adult Basic Education, Enrichment Programs, School-age Childcare Programs, Early Childhood Family Education, and Youth Development are all components of Community Education in the Faribault School system.
