Human Resources

The Human Resource department is dedicated to providing quality service to all district employees and to the community. We are a school district with high academic standards and expectations, and a record of outstanding achievement both in and out of the classroom.

District 656 includes the communities of Faribault, Cannon City, Nerstrand, Shieldsville and Warsaw, with 4072 students enrolled at six schools. The District is one of the area's largest employers, with more than 550 full and part time employees and seven employee bargaining groups. The District employs approximately 327 licensed teachers and administrators, more than half of them hold masters or specialist degrees.
