Accelerated Reader Program

Accelerated Reader is a computerized reading program. Students choose books appropriate to their reading level. They can read the books on their own or have the books read to them. He or she then takes a quiz on the computer based on a book they have read. Immediate feedback is provided on their score. Teachers can then review scores and reading levels for students. With Accelerated Reader we hope to promote a love of reading with our students that will grow and develop as they continue to learn.

AR Incentives we offer at Lincoln

Wall of Fame- When a student meets their AR goal, their picture is taken and place on the wall of fame. Pictures are displayed in the hallway near the media center.

Perfect Score- If a student gets a perfect score on their AR test their name is entered into the treasure box. Each week two names are drawn for a prize

End of Year Celebration- Attendance to a school-wide celebration of music and dance for all students who achieve their goal.

Doubling and Tripling Goals- When a student doubles or triples their reading goal they can choose a prize.
