Faribault Public Schools will implement a Falcon Flex Day, late start or early release in the event of extreme weather conditions. In which event, all pre-k through twelfth grade  families will receive a phone call, email or message in their Campus Parent Portal. Additionally, information will be posted on the district website at faribault.k12.mn.us and on the district Facebook page at @faribaultpublic and through our emergency phone line at 507-333-6057. An official announcement will also be made on radio stations KDHL/Power96, KOWZ and KYMN, and on TV stations WCCO (Channel 4), KSTP (Channel 5), KMSP (Channel 9), KARE (Channel 11) and KEYC (Mankato Channel 12).

Requests for Information:

Faribault Public Schools is committed to protecting the privacy of students and employees. We will not release any information that could reveal a student's identity, nor will we disclose personal or personnel-related information about our teachers and staff unless required by law.We will refrain from commenting on cases currently before the courts and will direct all questions related to police investigations to the appropriate authorities. All formal requests for information should be directed to the Superintendent's office. If you want access or permission to use the Falcon logo, contact Communications Coordinator Danette Marquardt.

Faribault Public Schools recognizes the responsibility of the news media to provide accurate and timely information to the community concerning issues and events that occur in our schools. While we are committed to cooperating with the news media request for access to our schools and students, we are also obligated to protect the privacy of students and employees.
