CPI - Nonviolent Crisis Intervention

CPI Training is required for all staff working in EBD, ASD and DCD settings as well as Crisis Team members. 
All Special Education staff are encouraged to be trained.

Read the guide below to help determine what training you should register for or refer to the memo from Rob Dehnert posted on the Staff Training Page

New Special Education Staff - register for the full 8 hour training

Current Special Education staff

  • If you completed the full 8 hour training PRIOR to 2016 » register for the full 8 hour Initial training

  • If you completed the full 8 hour training  summer of 2016 » register for the 4 hour refresher

  • If you completed the full 8 hour training summer of 2017 » CPI is current; no training needed until 2019

Summer CPI Training  

Things to note - 

  • Class size is limited to 30 per session.
  • Priority will be given to those who are required to be trained.
  • CPR/AED training and Mentor/Mentee training will be held the same week.  Please plan appropriately in order to accommodate all trainings needed.
