Spanish Immersion Pre-K Launches at Roosevelt Early Learning Center
We are excited to introduce the first year of our Spanish Immersion Pre-K program at Roosevelt Early Learning Center for the 2025–2026 school year! This new program mirrors the district’s K–2 immersion model, with a 90/10 language approach—90% of instruction in Spanish and 10% in English. Unlike the K–2 program, all 18 students in this Pre-K class are native Spanish speakers. This unique design supports children in building strong foundations in their home language while developing essential early learning skills. As they transition to kindergarten, students from this program will be split into two classrooms and joined by non-native Spanish speakers, continuing to grow together in a rich, dual-language environment. Currently, our dual immersion program is taught at the kindergarten, 1st grade, and 2nd grade levels and we plan to expand to additional grade levels in the coming years.
Our immersion program is housed in two locations:
Roosevelt Early Learning Center (Pre-K + K)
Lincoln Elementary (1 + 2)
