If you are new to our district, we want to make the enrollment process easy and convenient for you. Enrollment is available online or by visiting any school office, Monday-Friday 8 a.m.-3:30 p.m. During the summer, visit the district office at 710 17th St. SW.
Families new to the school district can enter resident address to identify school of attendance or view the school boundary map. Faribault Public Schools offer educational opportunities for learners of all ages
Information required to complete the enrollment process:
- A valid email address. If you do not have an email address visit any of our school offices to enroll.
- Birth certificate or official certificate of age.
- Immunizations records.
Student records from previous school (if available) or name, address, telephone and email or fax number of the last school attended.
You may bring required documents to our District student services office or school offices during building hours.

K-12 enrollment for all Faribault residents and open enrollment for out of district families. Already have a child enrolled in our district? Access the link through your parent portal to enroll additional children into our district.
McKinley Early Childhood Center serves children and families from birth to age five through a variety of programs for families with young children. Children who are 3 or 4 years old by September 1, 2020 are eligible for preschool. To make an appointment for preschool screening call 507-333-6806. Click Here for the Preschool Registration form.
We offer all-day kindergarten at all three of our elementary schools. Families who are new to the district can register online. Those who already have Parent Portal accounts can register additional students by logging in to Parent Portal and clicking on Online Registration.
