Student Enrollment

Faribault Public Schools (Independent School District No. 656) is a cornerstone of the Faribault community. Our diverse city of about 25,000 residents lies 50 miles south of the Twin Cities metropolitan area, along Interstate 35. We serve around 3,100 students from Faribault and its surrounding areas.

We operate an Early Learning Center for Pre-K and Kindergarten, two elementary schools (1-5), one middle school (6-8), one high school (9-12), an alternative learning center, an online 7-12 school and lifelong learning opportunities through Faribault Adult Education. Our diverse student body reflects the real world, fostering a welcoming environment where all backgrounds, cultures, and learning styles are valued. With high expectations, strong support systems, and a deep connection to our community, we ensure that every child receives the tools and encouragement they need to succeed.
