Immersion Program

This new program mirrors the district’s PreK–3 immersion model, with a 90/10 language approach—90% of instruction in Spanish and 10% in English. The district's PreK-3 immersion model has the 90/10 language approach. This unique design supports children in building strong foundations in their home language while developing essential early learning skills. As they transition to kindergarten, students from this program will be split into two classrooms and joined by non-native Spanish speakers, continuing to grow together in a rich, dual-language environment. Currently, our dual immersion program is taught at the kindergarten, 1st grade, 2nd grade and 3rd grade levels and we plan to expand to additional grade levels in the coming years.
